Client Terms

Last updated: [DATE]

This is a working draft and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It describes how we actually operate today. If anything here matters to a decision you’re making, email us and we’ll confirm it in writing.

The short version

  • No upfront cost, no retainer, no lock-in. You only pay for qualified appointments that show up.
  • We contact your leads under your business name, honestly and politely.
  • Your leads stay yours. We never share or reuse them, and we delete them within 30 days of finishing.
  • We invoice weekly, payment due within 7 days.
  • Either of us can end the arrangement with 7 days' written notice, no fees.

Pipeline Revival is run by Will Standen, a sole trader based in Auckland, New Zealand. These terms apply between Pipeline Revival ("we", "us") and the business engaging us ("you").

1. What we do

We contact people who previously enquired with your business, find out whether they're still interested and what held them back, and book qualified appointments with your sales team. Each appointment comes with a lead card summarising what we learned.

We work hard to book good appointments, but we don't guarantee any number of appointments or sales. Closing the sale is up to your team.

2. What counts as a qualified appointment

An appointment is qualified when the lead has:

  1. confirmed they're still interested in the project,
  2. indicated a budget that roughly fits your pricing, and
  3. agreed to a specific time to speak or meet with your team.

Before we start, we'll agree any extra criteria with you in writing, such as location or minimum job size.

3. No-shows and reschedules

  • You only pay for appointments that show up. If the lead doesn't attend, there's no charge.
  • If a lead reschedules, we'll help rebook. You're charged once, when the appointment happens.
  • If you think an appointment didn't meet the agreed criteria, tell us within 7 days of it taking place and we'll review it in good faith. If it didn't meet them, there's no charge.

4. Pricing and payment

  • Your price per qualified appointment is agreed before we start, based on your average job value, and confirmed in writing.
  • We invoice weekly for appointments that took place that week.
  • Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice.
  • If an invoice is more than 14 days overdue, we may pause work until it's paid.
  • Prices are in NZD. We're not currently GST registered, so no GST is added to our prices.

5. Your responsibilities

You confirm that:

  • you collected the leads you give us yourself, and you're allowed to share them with us for follow-up
  • the information you give us is accurate to the best of your knowledge
  • you'll tell us promptly about leads who've already bought, asked not to be contacted, or shouldn't be contacted for any other reason
  • you'll attend the appointments we book, or let us know quickly if you can't
  • you'll let us know when a lead we booked becomes a sale. This helps us improve and report on results, and it doesn't change what you pay.

6. How we handle your data

  • We act as your agent, only on your behalf and only for following up your leads.
  • We never sell, share or reuse your leads, and never contact them for anyone else.
  • Access is limited to our team, and data is stored with secure providers (see our Privacy Policy).
  • When the engagement ends, we return any notes you want and delete your lead data within 30 days.
  • If a privacy breach affects your data, we'll tell you as soon as practicable.

7. How we contact your leads

We follow our Contact Standards: we say which business we're following up for, we're honest, we don't pressure anyone, we respect calling hours and contact limits, and we honour every opt-out immediately. We'll agree with you before we start exactly how we introduce ourselves (for example, "following up for [your business]").

8. Reporting

You'll get access to a shared tracker showing each lead's status, and a summary of results and the main reasons people gave for not going ahead.

9. Ending the arrangement

Either of us can end the arrangement at any time with 7 days' written notice (email is fine). There are no cancellation fees. You pay only for qualified appointments that took place before it ended.

10. Liability

We'll do the work with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you've paid us in the 3 months before the claim, and we're not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or sales. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that can't legally be excluded.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll give current clients at least 14 days' notice. Changes don't apply to appointments already booked.

12. General

These terms are governed by New Zealand law. If there's a disagreement, we'll first try to resolve it by talking it through.
