Privacy Policy

Last updated: [DATE]

This is a working draft and has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. It describes how we actually operate today. If anything here matters to a decision you’re making, email us and we’ll confirm it in writing.

The short version

  • We contact people only on behalf of the business they enquired with, about the enquiry they made.
  • We never sell, share or reuse anyone's information, or contact people for any other company.
  • If you ask us to stop contacting you, we stop immediately.
  • We delete client lead data within 30 days of an engagement ending.
  • You can ask what we hold about you, and we'll reply within 5 working days.

Who we are

Pipeline Revival helps high-ticket service businesses follow up on enquiries that went quiet. It is run by Will Standen, a sole trader based in Auckland, New Zealand.

This policy explains how we handle personal information under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Privacy officer: Will Standen — privacy@pipelinerevival.co

Whose information we handle

  1. People who enquired with one of our clients. When a business (our "client") engages us, they give us details of people who previously asked them about a project, so we can follow up on their behalf.
  2. Businesses that contact us, for example through the form on our website.
  3. Visitors to our website.

What we collect

About people who enquired with our clients:

  • name and contact details (phone, email)
  • details of the project they enquired about, such as what they wanted, the quote and the date
  • notes from our conversations, such as whether they're still interested, what held them back, timing and budget
  • whether they've asked not to be contacted

About businesses that contact us: name, business name, email, phone, and roughly how many leads they have.

About website visitors: our website is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to run and secure the site. We also use Vercel Analytics to count page views. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't follow you across other websites, and doesn't build a profile of you. We don't use advertising trackers.

Why we have it

We use information about a client's enquiries only to follow up on that client's behalf: to find out whether the person is still interested, and if they are, to arrange a conversation with that business.

We use enquiries sent through our website only to reply to them and discuss working together.

What we never do

  • Sell, rent or trade personal information.
  • Share one client's leads with another client or any other business.
  • Contact people for any company other than the one they enquired with.
  • Add people to marketing lists.
  • Keep contacting someone who has asked us to stop.

How we contact people

When we contact someone on a client's behalf, we always say which business we're following up for and why. Every message gives an easy way to say no thanks, and we honour it immediately. See our Contact Standards for the full detail.

Where it's stored and who can see it

Access is limited to the Pipeline Revival team. We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the business. Some of them store data outside New Zealand, and we only use providers with strong security and privacy protections:

Provider What for
Google (Google Workspace / Sheets) Storing lead lists and call notes
[SMS PROVIDER] Sending and receiving text messages
Resend Delivering enquiries from our website form
Cal.com Booking audit calls
Vercel Hosting our website and counting page views

How long we keep it

  • Client lead data: deleted within 30 days after an engagement ends, unless the client keeps us on for ongoing follow-up.
  • Opt-out records: we keep a minimal record (name and number) of people who asked not to be contacted, only so we never contact them again for that client.
  • Website enquiries: kept while we're discussing or working together, and deleted within 12 months if we don't go ahead.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what information we hold about you
  • correct anything that's wrong
  • delete your information
  • stop contacting you

Email privacy@pipelinerevival.co. We'll respond within 5 working days. It's free.

If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

If something goes wrong

If a privacy breach is likely to cause someone serious harm, we will notify the people affected and the Privacy Commissioner as soon as practicable, as the Privacy Act requires. We'll also tell the client whose data was involved.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be shared with our current clients.
